Signs:
Hypotonia
Hporeflexia
Nystagmus
Intention tremor
Dysdiadochokinesis
Ataxia
Scanning dysarthria
Finger – nose incoordination
Impaired heel – shin
Wide based gait
Where is the lesion ?
• Cerebellar lobe lesions produce ipsilateral cerebellar Signs in the limbs
• Direction of nystagmus is a clue to the site of the lesion

Paraneoplastic
Alcohol
Multiple sclerosis
Tumors
Phenytoin
Stroke ( brain stem vascular event )
Hypothyroidism
Friedrich’s & ataxia telangiectasia
