  • Pregnancy: think of pre-eclampsia
What Will You Do?
  • ECG and Echo
  • Renal Doppler
  • Blood renin / aldosterone ratio
  • Urine metanephrine & normetanephrine
  • Polysomnography
  • 24-hour urine cortisol
  • Basic profile: CBC, RFT, TSH, lipid profile
Neurofibromatosis

Autosomal Dominant

  • Neurofibromas (small bumps in or under skin)
  • Two or more café-au-lait patches: six or more > 15 mm in adults
  • Axillary freckling
  • Lisch nodules: melanocytic hamartomas of iris
Area to Examine
  • Skin
  • Abdomen
  • Chest for crackles (honeycomb lung & fibrosis)
  • Visual acuity: optic glioma or compression
  • Neuropathy and large palpable nerve
